Been trying to figure out the problem for some time. When you connect with Firefox to a VMWare web interface it fails with some sort of SSL issue.
To fix this you need to reenable SSLv2 in Firefox:
- enter
about:configin the location bar - set
security.enable_ssl2totrue

In addition to that, the VMWare Console plugin stopped working somewhere along the update chain of FireFox. So, the easiest way is to install a FireFox 3.5 Portable release and run the console from within this browser.
