This is the professional blog of Thomas Marc Jaehnel, independet IT consultant and software engineer based in Munich, Germany.
Thomas started to develop software when the World Wide Web was still in its infancy and his + years of professional IT industry experience in diverse fields of computer science serve as a solid base for his current endeavors.
After working in web and application development, Thomas spent several years as a consultant for Autonomy designing and implementing mission-critical, highly scalable information retrieval and search systems for global corporations such as GlaxoSmithKline, Nokia or Rio Tinto.
His recent work is focused on dissecting the most critical information systems of Europe's banks, insurance companies and military manufacturers to discover security vulnerabilities and aid the development teams in fixing the issues before they become harmful.
Thomas holds a degree in computer science (Dipl.-Inf.) from the Technical University of Munich.
